Afrasianet - Numerous, accumulating events, facts, policies and positions indicate that the relationship between the United States of America in particular (and the colonial West) and the Zionist entity is an exceptional kind of relationship. This relationship cannot be reduced to the conventional equation between the large and the small, between the one issuing orders and the one receiving them, and between the exploiter and his instruments... Examining this subject at the present moment takes on immense importance and gravity because it has become a highly influential factor in generating or deepening major crises that multiply, spread, worsen or prove intractable. These crises are not confined to Palestine, most of which has been occupied and a large portion of whose people has been displaced, while all Palestinians are now being pursued through assassinations, displacement and extermination; these crises cascade through their interactions and spillovers, turning the Middle East into a field of conflicts, disputes, disturbances, transformations, violations and steadily expanding wars.
Meanwhile, the leaders of the Zionist entity openly proclaim their mythical biblical project to establish «Greater Israel», a project taking practical shape (through aggressive expansion in Palestine, Lebanon and Syria) under the aegis of American projects that have repeatedly targeted the «Broader Middle East». These projects, in turn, fall within an American project for global hegemony that began by resorting to force and aggression as a primary instrument in (international relations), particularly since the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan (2002) and Iraq (spring 2003).
The Trump era pushed this trajectory to its furthest extreme. The reasons are numerous: the growing American tendency toward unilateralism. The worsening American economic crisis. The rising Zionist influence within the American administration through Trump himself. Trump’s narcissistic, arrogant and unbridled personality. The control exercised by the fascist, racist parties of «religious Zionism» (led by Netanyahu) over decision-making in the Zionist entity. During his previous and current terms, President Trump pushed American support for the Zionist entity to an unprecedented peak by having the American army join the Israeli army’s venture of large-scale aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This gave the conflict an international character, first because of Washington’s full involvement in it, and second because of Iran’s political and military steadfastness, which thwarted and continues to thwart the plans and objectives of Washington and Tel Aviv. The expansion of the conflict produced major and dangerous consequences and crises, particularly in energy supply chains and prices, in addition to the accompanying military tensions and clashes, potentially threatening world peace as a whole. President Trump has been directly leading this conflict for about a year. He reduces the solution to one central Israeli demand: preventing Iran «from possessing nuclear weapons». This is in addition to other fundamental Israeli demands, most notably stripping the resistance parties of their weapons, particularly in Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq.
Of course, Washington’s involvement in the conflict as a party supporting, sponsoring, protecting and instigating on behalf of the Zionist entity (as in the 2006 aggression) is nothing new. Why has Washington now moved to direct military participation? In other words, why has Washington pushed its relationship with Tel Aviv to this qualitatively different and -necessarily- controversial level, and why has Trump become «the greatest American president supporting and befriending Israel», in Netanyahu’s words?
There is not enough space here to do this subject justice. We will confine ourselves to the main points:
- The United States contains the largest and most important Jewish population in the world after the enemy entity. A massive migration following European persecution in the 19th century was what drove most of these people to the land of «opportunity». This took place through active, planned intervention by major Jewish financiers, who worked along two tracks: supporting migration to Palestine within the framework of establishing a «national home», and building an influential financial/ political/ leadership position, particularly in New York. This coincided with a number of major Jewish financiers succeeding in obtaining the «Balfour Declaration», through a convergence of interests with the British colonial power, which was planning to maintain its influence and hegemony after its departure.
- The Zionist movement was able to lead the practical founding steps. Its American branch became the strongest. Patronage and tutelage were transferred from London to Washington after the Second World War.
- Jewish capital merged with and became deeply integrated into the structure of American capitalism/imperialism. It controlled highly important sectors in finance, business, media and foreign relations: in the form of mafias that became an important factor in influencing elections and domestic offices, as well as policies and foreign relations. Concentrated and immense influence over both chambers of Congress... This was in addition to running security and espionage mafias. They stole scientific innovations. They used inducement and intimidation to bring presidents or leaders to power, or to assassinate them if necessary, as happened to President Kennedy.
- Encouraging and developing «Christian Zionism» and turning it into the largest American voting bloc (six million), which subsequently enabled it to secure the election of two presidents, Reagan (1984) and Bush Sr. (1988) (see the book by researcher Muhammad Naama Faqih – Dar al-Faqih Publishing, 2025).
- Direct interaction between transformations in the American structure and within the enemy entity launched an ascending trajectory: for the forces of «religious Zionism» that lead Israel today under Netanyahu, with major roles for Ben-Gvir and «Smotrich» (supported by the American Zionist ambassador Huckabee, who is pressing ahead to establish «Greater Israel»).
Trump is a product of this trajectory and of the economic crisis, as we have noted. Before and after all that, he is a problematic, arrogant and bewildering figure, from his beginnings on Epstein’s island to the start of his first term with withdrawal from the nuclear agreement with Iran, to his repeated threats to wipe Iran off the map! Palestine and its people have been the principal and greatest victim of this aggressive trajectory. They have paid the greatest, heaviest and most horrifying prices, but this people has never stood idly by. In the face of the most heinous crimes, it has made the most extraordinary sacrifices and performed the greatest acts of heroism.
Two opposites currently preoccupy the world: the first is the brutality of colonial imperialism and the barbarism and fascism of the Zionist movement, embedded at the heart of its global structure (this is the essential secret of its strength). The second is the heroism and sacrifices of the Palestinian people, the justice of their cause, and the courage of their genuine supporters. Despite the immense suffering, there are promising transformations everywhere, most importantly in America itself and, above all, in New York, Zionism’s largest stronghold! These are transformations written by the martyrs, the resistance fighters and those who remain steadfast... in letters of fire and light, to shine in the hearts and minds of all the world’s free people.
