Afrasianet - Amid the rubble of destroyed homes and the tents of displaced people, dozens of cars decorated with flowers, red ribbons and Palestinian flags marched along the coastal road in Gaza City, as part of a mass wedding procession, from one of whose cars a groom appeared waving his hand in joy, while a procession of cars carrying other grooms stretched towards the seashore.
At the beachfront Marine Club, where Friday's ceremony took place, 250 grooms in their uniforms gathered alongside 250 brides wearing white dresses decorated with colourful Palestinian embroidery and gold headdresses.
Some brides covered their faces with embroidered scarves, while others carried bouquets of flowers.
