Afrasianet - To an observer who is inexperienced in knowing the nature of Israeli politics, the circumstances under which they are formulated for partisan and religious purposes, or their use to distract the street from following major and stormy problems, the current rage may seem mainly due to the hysteria of the Knesset elections scheduled for October 27.
If this reason is true at partial and interim rates, the other fundamental reasons are related to the degeneration of the occupying state towards a successive racist and fascist gendarmerie, which exposes further lies of the generalized myth about the Zionist entity as the only democracy in the Middle East.
Recently, for example, the Central Elections Committee in the occupying power voted, by a majority of 18 to 5, to prevent the United Arab List and the Joint List from running in the Knesset elections, under the pretext of supporting "terrorism." "Yesterday, the Supreme Court issued a decision to return the Arab List to the elections" Although the committee represents the Likud right and the religious and ultranationalist right, the banning of one or the other of the Arab candidates of the two lists was played by most of the leaders of the so-called "opposition," such as Naftali Bennett, Yair Lapid, Avigdor Lieberman, and Gadi Eisenkot, and was not spared from its enemy, Yair Golan.
Some of the remnants of the friends of the occupying power here and there in Europe and the United States have not hesitated to join the ranks of the Zionists who defend this blatant racist and discriminatory measure, and argue that the Israeli Supreme Court will overturn the decision of the Central Elections Committee in any case. This may be possible, unless it reaffirms the lack of any legal or "constitutional" deterrent in the Israeli political and governmental system outside the framework of that court.
Nor does it obliterate the long history of the Knesset's drift toward legislation that is no less racist and fascist, including similar attempts in 2019 and 2022 to deprive more than two million Arab voters of the right to vote for parties with legitimate status, then the imposition of the law on the performance of the oath of allegiance, and the prohibition of mosques from using loudspeakers to announce the call to prayer.
However, the state of confusion that characterizes the behavior of Israeli politicians is not limited to the Knesset's projects aimed at tickling the racist, isolationist and extremist feelings of the voters of the parties participating in the ruling coalition, which are the most right-wing, racist, and fascist in the history of the Zionist entity. It is also manifested in the behavior of the Israeli prime minister himself, and those close to him, such as the ministers of war, justice, and foreign affairs.
Whether he climbs to the top of the occupied Mount El-Sheikh and blows and parades, or rises to the United Nations podium to address in front of almost empty seats, or makes a secret visit to Abu Dhabi to ward off the scandal of neglecting the Emirati warning ahead of the "Al-Aqsa Flood," Benjamin Netanyahu does not succeed in covering up the state of confusion and hysteria that he personally leads, and by which he follows the example of ministers and supporters behind him.
The situation is no better among those who oppose it and propose alternatives, as hysteria, racism, and confusion are structural and general.
