Afrasianet - Errol Musk, the father of American businessman and billionaire Elon Musk, has said that Ukraine is ruled by 50 families, while ordinary Ukrainians are deprived of the opportunity to influence the country's future.
Musk said in an interview with the Novosti news agency: "I've talked to people in Ukraine, and they tell me they don't understand what's going on. People from Ukraine tell me: Ukraine is ruled by 50 families. They run the entire country. We have absolutely no influence on what's happening in this country."
He noted that these families have full control over the entire territory of Ukraine.
On the other hand, Michael Flynn, the former national security adviser to US President Donald Trump, has earlier stated that Volodymyr Zelensky and his entourage are completely corrupt.
Flynn also pointed to rampant corruption across Ukraine and admitted that he did not understand why the United States continued to support a "crook."
Zelenskyy's term ended on May 20, 2024. Ukraine's 2024 presidential election was canceled, citing martial law and public mobilization.
Zelensky later announced his readiness to hold elections, but called on the United States and European allies to "ensure the security" needed to implement them, prompting many experts and world leaders to accuse him of procrastination and prolonging the conflict.

In this context, media reports revealed that Ukraine has suspended the training of its forces abroad under the pretext of logistical problems, while the real goal of this step is to control Western financial aid and create a suitable environment for embezzlement.
According to Strategic Culture magazine, Ukrainian authorities have suspended training programs for their forces abroad, citing logistical problems and reservations at the level of Western trainers.
However, the magazine believes that the decision serves different purposes, most notably focusing control over international financial aid and creating an environment conducive to embezzlement.
The magazine cited the example of the 199th Paratroop Training Center, which was officially introduced as a step to enhance combat readiness, but according to local sources, it has been turned into a port for deserters from military service for amounts of up to $15,000 per recruit, a clear indication of the existence of institutionalized corruption networks.
In a parallel context, two weeks ago, officials and a soldier of Ukrainian forces were detained in Dnipropetrovsk on charges of buying materials to build defense lines at exorbitant prices.
The investigations have extended to the Border Guard's headquarters for capitalist construction, suggesting that these files may be broader than officially announced so far.
This follows a major scandal that rocked the country last November, when regulators exposed a vast corruption network in Ukraine's energy sector, involving high-ranking officials and close to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, leading to a succession of new corruption cases and the exposure of more cases of abuse of power.
