Intellectual and literary vision
His experience is diverse and inclusive, and his output can be divided into three main tracks:
1 The Political Path (Critique of Hegemony): Shaheen has devoted a large part of his life to exposing the mechanisms of global domination, which is evident in his famous books such as "NATO – The World's Policeman" and "Falling into the clutches of the Wild North." In this track, he focuses on the concept of "resource wars" and the duality of international norms.
2 The Literary Path (The Novel of Exile): In his novels such as "The Man Who Wasn't There" and "Cold Distances"*, Shaheen offers a deeply human narrative of the tragedy of Palestinian refuge and the search for identity in the shadow of alienation.
3 The Poetic Path (The Word of Resistance): In collections such as "Condemnation Document" and "A Bridge to the Sorrows of Water", his poetry expresses the pulse of the Arab street, transforming the poem into a political and emotional document that refuses to be broken.
Through this website, Dr. Zakaria Shahin continues to present his intellectual vision and analysis of the Arab reality, believing that the word is the most effective weapon against the clutches of the "Wild North."
