The consequent absence of the concepts of sin, deviation, and anomaly as constants, and their rename, within the framework of the fluid culture of modernity, under shiny names, such as: difference and diversity, individual freedom, and human rights.
In the framework of fluid modernity, according to Baumann's theory, the West has not only redefined vice and anomaly, but has integrated them into the concept of globalization, so that globalization, in addition to removing the boundaries of goods, services, capital, and technology, has become the removal of the boundaries of values and morals, as well as vice and abnormality.
This means the globalization of Western culture on both sides of the Atlantic, European and American, as the dominant culture, and this necessarily includes the "globalization of vice," including the vice of homosexuality in its various ugly forms and various cosmetic names.
It also means "normalizing homosexuality," by making it a natural, moral, and social behavior, after it was a deviation from human nature, moral values, and social norms. The controversy that took place at the FIFA World Cup over the match between Egypt and Iran in Seattle, United States, and the demand that it be part of the annual events in support of LGBT people, as part of "Pride celebrations," confirms the theory of "liquid modernity."
The two teams, the Egyptian and the Iranian, refused to participate in these events, as they represent two Muslim countries that prohibit and criminalize homosexuality, before FIFA, which is responsible for organizing the World Cup, intervened and allowed the events without obliging the two teams to participate in them, as a compromise solution to the controversy that takes the sports gate to infiltrate it to the civilized stadium, to spread Western culture and strengthen colonial control from the sports gate.
The infiltration of Western culture "Westernization", as an arm of direct and indirect colonial control through the sports portal, was not born of the current FIFA World Cup "2026", or only previous editions, as modern sports, especially football, with its Western origins, specifically the British, accompanied the Western colonial project from the beginning, when the European colonial countries, especially Britain and France, brought football with them to the countries of the East and the Arab and Islamic South, and employed it as a tool of colonial control, by forming Eastern societies according to The Western model in the period of direct colonialism. In addition to armies, settlers, and companies, football was practiced by a Westernized elite of the colonized peoples, who imbibed with sports the culture of the colonial West, to serve as an arm of control and guidance in the service of colonialism.
However, football is a double-edged sword; with the rise of national liberation movements, clubs, and their backbone football, have become part of the national struggle of national liberation movements. In the era of independence and the nation-state, football contributed to the expression of national identity, national unity and national pride.
However, the nation-state did not end the relationship between sports and Western colonial domination, especially in the era of indirect colonialism with its political, cultural, economic, and other arms, specifically after the emergence of "globalization", or rather "Americanization", as a new form of colonialism led by the United States, which means imposing the Western lifestyle and culture according to the American model, to become dominant in the world, with the tools and means of hard and soft power, including international institutions and organizations, such as the International Federation of Football Federation (FIFA) and the World Cup matches "The World Cup".
The West, led by the United States, with its power, superiority and control, can control the economic and cultural empire of FIFA and the World Cup, monopolizing the civilizational model, the accepted culture, the required morals, and the desired values... Under attractive headings, such as: human coexistence, civilizational convergence, and cultural diversity, in a clear overlap between sport and civilization.

The controversy between sports and civilization, and the globalization of vice and the normalization of anomalies within the framework of the dominant Western civilization, will only end with the presentation of the civilizational origin of the Western alternative, which rejects dependence on the West in all its forms, especially cultural dependence, as expressed by the Algerian thinker, Malik Ben Nabi, in his book "The Conditions of the Renaissance", by getting rid of "colonialism" and restoring the nation's effectiveness and action, as expressed by the Iranian thinker, Ali Shariati, in his book "Intelligence and Ism", by getting rid of "stubbornness" and restoring consciousness and alertness.
It is the civilizational origin that adopts: the interaction of civilizations instead of the clash of civilizations, the scramble of civilizations instead of the grinding of civilizations, the acquaintance of peoples and nations instead of the disharmony of peoples and nations, the cross-pollination of cultures instead of the contradiction of cultures, and the accumulation of human achievements instead of the abolition of human achievements.
