A war of extermination that erased more than 2276 families from the Palestinian civil registry, including 8858 martyrs and none survived, while the families from which one survivor 2278 was able to return and start a new family, it was a war of hundreds of displacement warnings for Palestinian citizens from cities, neighborhoods and neighborhoods to the coastal region (Al-Mawasi in Khan Younis and Rafah) and the Palestinian had nothing but Escaping from death while he realizes that he is fleeing from death to a new death.

The story of (Abu Hamdi) is the story of the Palestinian who does not fall, does not break, does not die, does not surrender, but is resurrected whenever death hovers around him or death takes something from him, in this war, specifically on the seventh of January 2024, during the displacement of his family of four members, his husband and two eldest sons, (Hamdi) who was close to eighteen years old, and the second (Mohammed) who was fifteen years old, all of them were displaced from the Al-Manara area in Khan Younis accompanied by their uncles and the rest of the members The family in the Flux Wagon car, there were nine members, two women and seven men, including the driver, but they did not reach Al-Mawasi and their journey and survival was not completed, the supposed time passed for them to reach the Al-Mawasi area.
But they did not arrive, (Abu Hamdi) who preceded them tried to prepare the place to receive them to call one of his children and his wife, but there was no answer and all the phones were switched off. Nine people are missing, including his sons, his wife, his uncles, his cousin's wife and two young men, and the more time passes, the less hope of finding them alive diminishes.
It was only a few days until one of the activists transmitted a video of the bus they were riding in bombed and burned, and there are charred bodies on the ground, some of which are eaten by dogs and cats, and they have been identified, but when Abu Hamdi reached the owner of the video, he reported that they were buried in the place where they were martyred as a result of the shelling of an Israeli march that killed everyone on the bus because it was difficult to transfer them to the hospital.
After the withdrawal of the occupation forces from the area after about a month, the bodies of the martyrs were transferred to be buried in the mass grave in front of the European Hospital in Khan Younis, because the central cemetery of Khan Younis was difficult to reach, and people began to bury their dead and martyrs in alternative places, and then when the conditions were available, they were transferred to their own cemetery, each according to his family.
Abu Hamdi lived the period of three months between the fire of loss and heartburn because he could not see the rich martyrs or even see them, and he returned from displacement, and in the midst of that, he began to think about starting a new life, in the hope that God would compensate him for losing his entire family, because staying in the circle of grief is a slow death, so he decided to get married and start a new family, in March of the same year, three months after the great event, he found his life partner again to start the journey of forming a new family with her. I met him and asked him how he was doing, and he told me, "Today I got married and I have become a wife again, in the hope that God will feed me and compensate my family that has been raised."
One day he told me that his wife was pregnant and he was afraid of war for her, and after a short while, the occupation army asked us to leave our homes and migrate to the Al-Mawasi area again, so he was the first to leave the area out of fear for his pregnant wife, and it was only a few months until God blessed a male child named (Hamdi) named after his son (Hamdi) the first (martyr) that it is a dignity of God, hope returned to his life and he had a son on whom the tent was filled with happiness and around days.
The sadness is joyful, and whenever he looks into his eyes, he sees (Hamdi) the martyr as if history goes back eighteen years when (Hamdi) the martyr (Hamdi) was young. But he started another journey, a journey of struggle for survival, as famine has befallen everyone here in the displacement camps, no food, no medicine, no milk for the child, what should he do..?
Where does he get the baby from with milk, he went to the Bedouins looking for camel milk and found little but he kept the baby alive, one of the associations learned the news that (the newborn Hamdi) was the hope of the new life, so they were able to provide him with two milk cans, so his hope doubled until he exceeded the danger stage, he spent five months of starvation and spent his days looking for milk cans for the infant and did not leave the door of an association or institution except its roads, providing milk cans was the concern of the general concern and it is his battle from For life, he didn't pay attention to his food or his wife's food because in the end it was nothing more than lentil soup with a little pasta.
One day, after Hamdi was eight months old, I took him to visit me, and as I saw the martyr Hamdi, I felt that life really belongs to those who seek it. Abu Hamdi's story did not end there, as he continued to form his family, so he became pregnant with his wife in displacement again, and it was only another nine months until he called me and informed me that Muhammad had been born again.
Abu Hamdi's family returned with two sons and a wife, but the difference is 18 years since his first marriage and his children (Hamdi and Mohammed), who accompanied him on my visit before the war. It is a story of a life that begins anew after Abu Hamdi lost everything, his family, his house, his farm and everything he owned, but he has a tent left in the displacement camps, where his life began again, and his children will grow up and tell them the story again, and they will know that they had brothers and an uncle before they were born, all of them were killed by the war, and they came to renew the story and revive life in a family that the occupation wanted to erase, but the determination of the Palestinian was stronger than his might and crimes.
The story of (Abu Hamdi) is not the only story, but it is repeated every day in Gaza, even with men over seventy who lost their entire families, life in Gaza does not stop so that death in Gaza becomes the beginning of life, and therefore the occupation will not succeed in killing every hope and killing every beginning, the beginnings are always made by man with determination, love and patience.
Yes, the occupation has erased more than 1000 families from the civil registry and is still continuing in the scenario of extermination, the last of which was a family from the Egyptian family in Gaza. But there are more than two thousand families in which a person who is able to relive life and make death a matter of fate and plant roses on the graves of the martyrs and when it blooms, he picks the roses to celebrate a new life so that the Palestinian is the one who makes life and faces the bare-chested one who creates death and destruction.
