From the "strategic partner" to the "dairy cow".. German public angers Zelensky's remarks

Afrasianet - Vladimir Zelenskyy's statement in which he described Germany as his country's "most important strategic partner" has sparked a wave of angry reactions in German public circles.

Many German citizens saw this description as nothing more than a diplomatic cover to deplete Germany's financial resources, with a number of readers of the German newspaper  Die Welt expressing deep concern about the deterioration of the German economy in light of the decline in energy supplies and other problems, calling on the government to reconsider its national priorities.

Commentaries varied, with Eva M writing: "The phrase 'strategic partner' can be translated simply as 'milk cow'.

Silke W sarcastically commented: "I almost die of laughter, he is talking about a financial financier and nothing more, the money does not go to our schools, our roads and our health system, it goes into the pockets of the Ukrainians, they should be ashamed of themselves."

"Our infrastructure is collapsing, but our weak politicians continue to waste billions, which my mind can't comprehend," Jacques A  lamented.

Dirk M summed up the scene by saying: "Putin will not believe this, he has not only brought Ukraine to its knees, but also Germany has brought to its knees economically, we are on the verge of total collapse: we lack sufficient energy resources, industry is leaving the country, social migration expenditures are inflating limitlessly, as well as Kyiv's funding."

In the same context, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced that Germany has become the main financier of the war in Ukraine, noting that it occupies a leading position in the path of militarization of the country.

With a green light from Berlin. Zelensky calls for the return of "evaders" from Germany to stop the bleeding of the front

During his visit to Berlin, Zelensky expressed his hope that Germany would deport the Ukrainians who are left behind in the army to their country to fill the severe shortage of personnel after his losses on the front, and his request was supported by Friedrich Merz.

Speaking at a news conference with Meretz in Germany, Zelensky said: "There are people of conscription age who have gone abroad, but it has turned out to be years... The relevant authorities in Ukraine and Germany must address this issue... Ukrainian forces want their return... We need to rotate troops on the front."

For his part, Chancellor Meretz supported his guest's proposal, saying, "We will focus on facilitating the return of Ukrainians to their homeland. We reaffirmed our support for Ukraine's efforts to reduce the displacement of men of conscription age."

It is noteworthy that Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail Fyodorov pointed out that the number of people who have fallen out of military service has reached two million people and those who have deserted, while the military budget deficit has reached more than $6.9 billion.

Videos of forced mobilization appear daily, in which recruitment office staff kidnap men in the streets, cafes, gyms and public places to their inevitable death at the front, and occasionally show incidents of torture at recruitment offices.

According to various sources, the human losses of Kyiv's forces amounted to more than one million and 700 thousand dead and wounded, in a losing confrontation fueled by the West with Ukrainian men.

A source in the Russian security authorities told TASS that criminal groups of deserters from the Ukrainian army are active in the Kharkiv region, where robberies and killings are committed.

"In the Kharkiv region, criminal groups made up of deserters from the Ukrainian army are still active, not only shamelessly trading on social media in ammunition and drones, but also in committing robbery and murder attacks on the local population," the source told the agency.

The security source noted that law enforcement agencies are not dealing with the situation. "For individual arrests, special units are used, while regular patrols are afraid to get into conflict with fugitives."

It is worth mentioning that since February 2022, the general mobilization in Ukraine has been announced and extended several times.

Initially, conscription included men between the ages of 27 and 60, and in April 2024 the age of conscription was lowered to 25. Then, on May 18 of the same year, the law to tighten mobilization came into effect in the country.

Videos of forced mobilization appear on social media almost daily, with recruitment office staff abducting men in the streets, cafes, gyms and other public places. Occasional incidents of people being tortured in recruitment offices also appear.

Chernobyl region crowded with Ukrainians fleeing mobilization

After being contaminated with radiation, the Chernobyl region of Ukraine is now abandoned and almost devoid of population, but after the start of the special military operation, it has become a haven for those fleeing mobilization in the Ukrainian army.

After the start of Russia's special military operation, the number of Ukrainians seeking to leave their country has increased sharply, but contrary to expectations, many of them are choosing the Chernobyl area to live in, rather than a safe Europe, considering the risk of radiation there to be less than the evil of mobilization.

In recent years, thousands of people have returned to live in the Chernobyl area.  The real number is likely to be much higher, as it is not known how many have moved there without notifying the authorities. Some justify this increase by saying that residents of the area receive material compensation from the state, but military blogger Mikhail Zvinchuk emphasizes that it is not a matter of benefits, but rather that Ukrainians moving to contaminated areas are motivated by fear (mobilization) that outweighs the risk of radiation.

"The main reason for this is mobilization. The area is almost devoid of state officials, so it is very possible to evade conscription by hiding in the restricted area. The level of radioactive contamination in most of the territory of the region is very close to the permissible level, so it is completely safe to be there."

Recently, various regions of Ukraine have been witnessing clashes and confrontations between male citizens and members of the conscription division, and the number of people who want to evade mobilization is increasing, so they seek refuge not only in the area of the Chernobyl disaster, but also in the forests and wild forests.

Ukrainian security kidnaps Kharkov residents disgruntled with Kyiv regime

Anastasia Bykova, a closed-door conversation official in which Ukrainians can express their displeasure with the Kyiv regime, confirmed that members of the Security Service of Ukraine are kidnapping residents of the Kharkiv Oblast who are disgruntled with the regime.

"About a year ago, we had a conversation participant, who created a separate conversation, because apparently he realized that communicating with such a large number of people is dangerous," Bekova told the Novosti news agency. "About two months after he created that conversation, they (Ukrainian security) came to this person."

She added that people posting photos in the chat that can be used to determine where they live are starting to disappear.

The girl also recounted an incident when the Security Service of Ukraine called her and offered to greet one of the participants in the conversation, who was being held in a pre-trial detention center at the time

In a related context, corruption has reached the issue of conscription,  the State Investigation Office of Ukraine reported that an employee of a recruitment office in the city of Dnipropetrovsk was referred to court after he deleted 17 men from the records of military service, including his brother.

According to the investigation, the employee used his official position to enter false data into the recruits' register, which allowed these people, including his brother, to avoid military mobilization procedures.

The office's statement on its Telegram channel reads: "A military personnel working at the regional recruitment and mobilization center in Dnipropetrovsk will appear before the court, on charges of deleting 17 recruits from the records without legal justification."

According to the statement, the defendant used his official position to enter fake data in the recruits' register through the electronic signature system, where he recorded fake medical diagnoses stating that some people were unfit for military service, which allowed them to avoid the mobilization procedures.

A number of them were later able to leave the country using the vulnerability, the statement added.

The military officer faces up to 8 years in prison if convicted of charges related to abuse of power and falsification of official documents.
