Afrasianet - Ashraf Al Hawar - The sounds of gunfire in Gaza did not subside, and the Israeli occupation forces continued to launch attacks on the Gaza Strip, carried out blowing up buildings behind the Yellow Line, and kept the siege tight, ignoring calls by mediators and the Peace Council for the need for a ceasefire in order to develop the truce.

The efforts to calm the situation have led to a setback with the Peace Council's coup on a road map it announced on Friday, and its adoption of the Israeli position regarding withdrawals from the Strip.

This new position on the part of the Peace Council came after the meeting of its High Representative Nickolay Mladenov with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

It was reported that Netanyahu showed "flexibility" in dealing with the points of agreement related to the administration of Gaza, the entry of aid and travel, but he was strict in the condition of "disarmament" before that, and set it as a condition for the withdrawal of his forces from Gaza, which eventually led to Mladenov's approval of this.

Mladenov focused only on weapons, according to Israel's point of view, and retracted what was recently agreed, noting that "his pressure to change the situation was clear after his meeting with Netanyahu."

Article 8 stipulates that "the process of decommissioning and storing heavy weapons, military production sites, weapons depots and tunnels shall commence after the completion of the remaining commitments under the Sharm el-Sheikh Protocol, the entry of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza.

And the deployment of the International Stabilization Force The Hamas source said that all the facts indicate that influential parties in the US administration pushed for a change in the position of the Peace Council by adopting the Israeli position, stressing that this means the failure of all the efforts made during the past period.

This was preceded by a trilateral statement by Qatar, Egypt and Turkey, the mediating countries in the negotiations, issued on Monday, in which they condemned the "continuous Israeli violations" in the Gaza Strip, which have led to the death of 19 Palestinians since Sunday.
