Afrasianet - At his press conference at the end of the BRICS summit in Kazan, President Putin presented his vision of the relationship between the countries of the group and reaffirmed Russia's international positions on hot issues.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has asserted that the West is trying to continue to use the tools of neocolonialism in Africa and impose industrial technologies on the countries of the continent that they cannot afford.

Speaking at a press conference after the sixteenth BRICS+ summit, Putin said: "In African countries and some other developing countries, they are given modern tools and technologies, which may be environmentally effective, but they cannot get them, there is no money. Well, give them money and no one gives them money. However, they shackle them with tools. I think they are tools of neocolonialism, when they force us to rely again on Western technologies and loans, and at the same time loans are granted for them on terrible terms."

It is worth noting the participation of delegations of several countries from the African continent in the BRICS summit, and the Russian President held secondary meetings with a number of leaders who participated in the summit, and stressed that Russia has close relations with the African Union, and expressed his high appreciation for this organization in the political and economic fields, as well as in the field of ensuring security in the African continent.

The 16th BRICS summit concluded on Thursday in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, with the participation of about 40 countries. This summit is the first after 5 new countries joined the BRICS since the beginning of 2024.

Russia chaired this year's BRICS summit, under the theme "Equitable development in a multipolar world for comprehensive security", and organizes more than 200 meetings on political, economic and social issues.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also stressed in his meeting with Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik that attempts to blame Russia for destabilizing the situation anywhere are nonsense.

Dudek drew attention to the US embassy's statements that "there are supposed to be camps in the Republika Srpska, which, together with Russian forces, will organize the destabilization of Moldova."

The President of the Republika Srpska stressed that this was an absolute lie, and noted that this was the West's way of trying to exert pressure.

"These are attempts to tarnish Russia's image. Today at a press conference I was asked if we are behind the unrest in some Western capitals. This is nonsense, and we don't have such tools."

Bosnia and Herzegovina declared its secession from Yugoslavia in 1992, after which the war began in this republic between Bosnian Muslims, Serbs and Croats and lasted until 1995. The exact number of casualties has not been officially determined, with various sources putting the figure at more than 100,000. With the participation of the international community, the Dayton Peace Accords were signed and three entities were formed - the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republika Srpska and the Brcko Special Zone. The State is chaired by a three-person Presidency:  One representative each of Serbs, Croats and Bosnians.

At the end of May, the UN General Assembly adopted a controversial resolution on the "Srebrenica Genocide" proposed by Germany and Rwanda. Eighty-four countries voted in favour of the document, including the United States, Britain, Ukraine, France, Germany, Canada and Switzerland. Nineteen countries opposed it, including Russia, China, Serbia, Syria and Cuba.

As Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has pointed out, the resolution is aimed at "breaking the thorn of Serbs" who do not want to join sanctions against Moscow, recognize Kosovo's self-declared independence, and also do not want the region to become a member of international organizations. He described the proposed document as in fact an ultimatum to Belgrade.

The minister noted that ten years ago they tried to pass such a resolution in the UN Security Council, but Moscow used its veto. According to the diplomat: "It is impossible to explain what the Europeans are guided in practice when promoting this idea, except for one reason: the Serbs, in their opinion, are very capricious, very independent in their actions."

Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that there is no point in threatening Russia, it only increases its resolve. At the same time, he pointed out that Russia intends to build relations with countries that respect their sovereignty and independence.

Putin said at a press conference at the end of the BRICS summit: "Anyone can be threatened, but it makes no sense to threaten Russia, because that only increases our resolve."

The Russian president stressed that Russia is aware of the situation surrounding it, and does not want to transfer all problems to the institutions that are interested in developing them, noting that it will deal with its problems itself.

"Based on the fact that we are aware of the situation surrounding Russia, and we do not want to transfer all the problems associated with it to the institutions that we are interested in developing ourselves, we will deal with our problems and we will deal with it ourselves," Putin said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that the BRICS is not a closed format, stressing that it is "open to everyone who shares its values."

Putin said at a press conference at the end of the BRICS summit: "In Kazan, we stressed that the BRICS group is not closed in itself, it is open to all who share its values."

"Its members are ready to work on common solutions without external dictates or attempts to impose any narrow approach on anyone."

"Over the course of our presidency, we have felt the strong support of our partners and this is important. Especially since this doesn't end with the summit ending."

The Russian president stressed that "at the summit, the Kazan BRICS Declaration was approved, which summarizes the discussions that took place, and the result, in our opinion, was a comprehensive conceptual document with a positive agenda, looking to the future."

"It is important that it reaffirms the commitment of all our nations to building a more democratic, inclusive and multipolar world order based on international law and the Charter of the United Nations."
