Afrasianet - Russian President Vladimir Putin told a news conference after the 16th BRICS summit that most of those killed during the war in the Gaza Strip out of more than 40,000 are women and children.
"There is no person on earth who doesn't bleed blood when he looks at what's happening in Gaza. More than 40,000 people have died – most of them women and children."
The Russian president pointed out that, in the opinion of the Russian side, this conflict can be resolved only after its causes are removed, the main reason being the absence of a full state of Palestine, adding: "We need to implement all Security Council resolutions in this context."
The Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has entered its 384th day, as the Israeli army continued to tighten the siege in the north of the Strip and commit massacres in the Jabalya area, with the aim of forcing the Palestinian population to forcibly displace towards the south.
The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip reported that there were wounded in the streets of Mashrou' Beit Lahiya and Jabalia refugee camp by Israeli artillery fire and marches, and pointed out that ambulance crews are unable to transport them to hospitals because they are prevented and targeted by Israeli forces.
The outcome of the 20-day Israeli military operation in the northern Gaza Strip reached 770 dead and more than 1,000 wounded, in addition to the displacement of thousands of civilians and the abduction of hundreds of them without knowing their fate, in addition to the continuous and systematic destruction of shelters and buildings as part of the plan to empty the area of Palestinians, and impose occupation control over it.
