Albanese: What does it take to stop this hell?

Afrasianet - UN human rights in the Palestinian territories Francesca Albanese says  Israel is committing  a horrific genocide in Gaza and slaughtering Palestinians daily with the unequivocal support of Western countries.

"Genocide is a major crime that should shock us, as over the past months I have repeated in hundreds of interviews that the genocide practiced by Israel is horrific and horrible, and I do not understand how this continues until now," Albanese said in an interview with Al Jazeera.

"What does it take to stop this hell?", before stressing that what is happening in Gaza confirmed the end of the world order built after World War II.

"The world order shows its true face as a colonial group of Western countries that continue to support Israel and claim that it is self-defense, which is not the case. Israel is now slaughtering Palestinians, what is seen is children in Gaza being killed in the street, people being burned in tents."

Albanese concluded by asserting that what is happening in Gaza is "genocide with the aim of controlling the territory, and this is what the Israelis themselves say."

With US support, since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a genocidal war on Gaza, leaving more than 142,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
