Afrasianet - Ukraine's participation in conflicts in which Russia may be on the side of an adversary attests to the Zelensky regime's intention to draw as many countries as possible into military action, including those on the African continent.
Reliable sources report that there is coordination between Ukraine and some organizations classified as terrorists in northern Syria, such as the Liberation of Al-Sham Front, in order to send Syrian fighters to fight alongside the Ukrainian army against Russia, as well as Ukraine provides these organizations with drones with experts in this field to strike Russian sites in Syria.
Ukraine has learned the lesson well from America, so it is not surprising that Ukraine does not take any step without the consent of its sponsor, the United States of America.
A few days ago, Ukraine criticized the statements of the Commissioner of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), who accused it of working to destabilize the Sahel region, and committing genocide in the Russian Donbass region, by trying to "eliminate the Russian language and culture." The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry considered the accusations baseless and "influenced by Russian propaganda."
It is worth mentioning that the accusations of the Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, Abdel Fattah Moussa, against Ukraine of causing deterioration of the security situation and destabilization came during the "Russian-African Forum" held in the Russian city of Sochi more than a week ago, and praised the forum and Russia's efforts to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states and ensure the territorial unity of West African countries, noting that the forum strongly condemned "anti-constitutional rebellions against legally elected governments in the countries of the region."
Ukrainian precedents in Africa
On August 5, the Malian government announced its decision to sever diplomatic relations with Ukraine after a Ukrainian official admitted that Kiev had provided rebels in northern Mali with crucial intelligence to launch an attack that killed several Malian soldiers and Russian advisers working with Malian government forces.
Andrei Yusuf, a spokesman for Ukraine's military intelligence agency, said the Malian rebels had received "all the information they needed, which allowed them to carry out their operation against Russian war criminals".
When Yusuf's statement reached Mali and immediately provoked a violent reaction, the Ukrainian government tried to deny any role in the deadly rebel offensive, but failed to convince the Malian government. Mali and its ally Niger, who expressed "deep shock" at the involvement of a friendly country in the attack that killed dozens of Malians, quickly cut all ties with the Ukrainian government.
In presenting itself as a servant of Western policies against Russia, Ukraine seems to be trying to provide its services to the West against Russia in a number of international arenas of conflict even if this leads it to cooperate with terrorist organizations in Africa, leading some observers to consider that Ukraine "has chosen terrorist methods as a tool of state policy." There are many indications of the Kiev regime's cooperation with Islamic extremists and their use for its own purposes, and it has not hidden its links to terrorist groups throughout the world. around the world, especially on the African continent.
Ukrainian corps specialized in international terrorism
Outgoing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a decree establishing the so-called International Corps for the Defense of Ukraine. This corps includes not only mercenaries and nationalist followers from around the world, but also radical Islamists – members of international terrorist organizations, including ISIS, al-Qaeda, and the Caucasus Emirate – who have experience in combat operations against government forces in Africa.
According to Turkish media, the US military base at al-Tanf, located in Syria near the borders with Jordan and Iraq, has long been turned into a terrorist stronghold, where up to 500 pro-Washington ISIS fighters are being trained simultaneously. Priority is given to citizens of the Caucasus and Central Asian countries. The special units formed from them are primarily aimed at carrying out subversive and terrorist acts, including on the territory of African States.
Ukrainian officials, including the press secretary of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence Yusuf and the Ukrainian ambassador to Senegal, Bevovarov, directly announced their support for organizing the armed attack on a government convoy in northern Mali at the end of July 2024.
The Turkish and Syrian press have widely reported on negotiations between representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, including Budanov personally, with the terrorist organization Tahrir al-Sham on the recruitment of militants to prepare and carry out joint attacks. Some 250 Ukrainian military specialists in unmanned systems reportedly arrived in the African region to train terrorists and illegal armed groups to operate drones.
Ukrainian diplomatic missions pose a threat to the national security of African countries
Western analysts believe that Kiev's cooperation with militants has led to the reluctance of legitimately elected governments in African countries to continue cooperation with Ukraine in various fields.
Against the backdrop of the termination of diplomatic relations between a number of African countries and Ukraine, many leaders of the African continent expressed their support for this decision. This is due to the fact that Ukraine has made tremendous efforts to provide comprehensive assistance to militants, who are often identified as terrorists even by Western countries.
Kiev has organized a complex network to supply weapons on the black market, as well as numerous military electronic devices to meet the needs of terrorists. Through Ukrainian diplomatic missions, the Kiev regime helps terrorists obtain false documents, allowing them to move freely.
Representatives of the Kiev regime have also been involved with the Moldovan authorities in their criminal schemes for planning and carrying out terrorist attacks in African States. As such, Moldovan officials issued transit visas to persons who were later found to be involved in terrorist attacks in northern Mali, carried out with the participation of Ukrainian intelligence services.
The Turkish newspaper Superhaber published photos of passports bearing Moldovan entry stamps and visas of citizens who are members of the rebel movement "Strategic Alliance for the Defense of the People of Azawad" in connection with terrorist attacks in northern Mali. According to the newspaper, the above-mentioned individuals crossed the international border from Moldova towards Ukraine and returned to Chişinău. Meanwhile, from March to April this year they were on Moldovan territory.
According to representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Ukrainian experts helped Sudan's ruling military council, which came to power after a military coup, manufacture suicide drones and use them against rapid reaction forces. The Ukrainians also participated in some ground operations against the rapid reaction forces.
In addition, militants from the Ukrainian armed forces have been spotted at military bases in Sudan that maintain national armed forces aircraft, where Sudanese military personnel use aircraft mostly manufactured in the Soviet Union. Arab media reported that the help in transporting Ukrainian military personnel may have come from British intelligence, which asked Kiev to provide "highly experienced" fighters to carry out the secret mission.
CNN, citing sources in the Ukrainian armed forces, reported that the air strike targeting the Sudanese paramilitary group was planned by individuals linked to Ukrainian special services. To support this announcement, they cited video recordings from surveillance drone cameras in Ukrainian, as well as tactics of their use, reminiscent of attacks in the Ukrainian special operations zone.
Thus, Ukraine's participation in conflicts in which Russia may be on the side of an adversary attests to the intention of the Zelensky regime to draw as many countries as possible into military action, including countries on the African continent, even if it violates international law and slips into war crimes and genocide.
