Afrasianet - Counter Bench published an article by Melvin Goodman, a senior fellow at the Center for International Policy in Washington, explaining that the Israeli killing machine and America's complicity with it are endless.

No U.S. Democratic administration has been prepared to challenge the excesses of Israeli politics, including that of current President Joe Biden.

He said that indications of clear American collusion in favor of Israel are numerous, including Biden's embrace of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a few days after the attack by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in October last year, the arrival of Secretary of State Antony Blinken just five days after the attack, and his saying that he came to Israel not only as US secretary of state, but as a Jew.

Genocide

Goodman stressed that the United States has been complicit in almost every aspect of Israel's genocidal campaign in Gaza, as well as ignoring Israel's brutal policies against innocent Palestinians in the West Bank, and taking no action to restrict the supply of American weapons to Israel, noting that 70% of the weapons used by Israel in Gaza and Lebanon are American.

The silence of the United States in the wake of the deadly explosions of pagers and walkie-talkies throughout Lebanon was another indication of the United States' unwillingness to condemn heinous Israeli terrorist acts.

He described Blinken's recent remarks in Cairo in which he urges "all sides" to avoid steps that could "further escalate the conflict we are trying to resolve," as corrupt and have only embarrassed the United States in the Middle East, as well as the larger world stage.

The article listed several U.S. policies that very clearly demonstrate U.S. bias toward Israel, and Senator Chris Van Hollen, one of the few senators to emphasize the need to hold Israel accountable, was cited as quipping, "If Israeli behavior complies with international standards, God help us all."

Uncurable disease

Israel's planning to displace and persecute Palestinian Arab communities was evident even before the proclamation of the State of Israel, and the current hostilities in Gaza and the West Bank are an intrinsic part of Israel's policies, as Israelis have long maintained that Palestine is "a land without a people, for a people without a land," and have always denied the existence of a people sharing land with Jews.

Goodman said Israel's denial of the Palestinians is a disease for which there is no cure.

It is quite clear that Netanyahu's strategy is to eliminate both Hamas andHezbollah, regardless of the cost to Israeli prisoners or Palestinian and Lebanese civilians, yet there is no indication that the Biden administration will oppose this strategy.
