Afrasianet - Fox News reported that the signing of the rare earth earth agreement between Washington and Kiev was canceled after the verbal altercation between US President Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelensky.
Fox News reported: "A fierce public debate between President Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelensky led to the termination of the conference and the cancellation of the signing of the metal deal."
The channel quoted US administration sources as saying that the Ukrainian delegation "begged" to relaunch the negotiations after the public altercation between Zelensky and President Trump, but US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz said Zelensky should leave the White House.
According to the channel, Trump "fired" Zelensky after a dispute during which the US president felt disrespected, and the channel's reporter Jackie Heinrich wrote on the X platform: "The Ukrainians begged to relaunch (the negotiations), but Rubio Waltz told them that Zelensky should leave the White House."
Vladimir Zelensky left the White House after canceling a planned press conference with US President Donald Trump.
Earlier, Trump stressed after meeting Zelensky that the latter is not ready for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, and that he showed disrespect for the United States.
Trump said: "We had a very important meeting at the White House today. We have learned a lot that we could not have learned without conversation under these pressures and circumstances. It's amazing what things show through emotions, and I've come to the conclusion that President Zelensky is not ready for peace if America participates, because he believes that our participation gives him a huge advantage in the negotiations."
Trump received the head of the Kiev regime, who arrived at the White House on Wednesday to sign an agreement on the extraction of minerals and mineral resources in Ukraine.
Trump noted that there were some minor problems in the negotiations with Kiev, but everything was resolved, and the parties reached an agreement on a deal for the development of Ukrainian mineral resources. He added that he knew Zelensky for a long time and very well.
"We got a very fair deal, and we look forward to participating in that deal, drilling, drilling, working, extracting rare earths. But that means we'll be there. This is a big commitment."
US senator: Everything we have worked for to establish a new relationship between Washington and Kiev is "completely destroyed"
U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, who was once a supporter of Vladimir Zelensky, said that after the White House dispute, Americans no longer want Zelensky to be their trading partner.
In an interview with Fox News, Graham said: "Most Americans who witnessed what happened today don't want Zelensky to be their business partner, and I'm one of them."
Graham criticized Zelensky for his behavior in the White House and asserted that everything we worked for in trying to establish a new relationship between the United States and Ukraine had been "completely destroyed."
The Alternative for Germany (AfD) party confirms its support for Trump in front of the "beggar Zelensky"
Representatives of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party expressed support for US President Donald Trump after negotiations with Vladimir Zelensky failed, and called for peace in Ukraine, "even if without Zelensky."
Alternative for Germany (AfD) leader Tino Krubala noted that "Trump canceled negotiations with Ukrainian President Zelensky, saying that the latter is not ready for peace."
Krubala wrote on his X account: "However, peace must be achieved – even if it is without the beggar President Zelensky. This is not a question of resources, but of logic. Since the EU and Germany, unfortunately, cannot mediate, the United States and Russia must agree," Krubala said, adding that his party has been calling for peace for years.
Krubala's colleague, Alyssa Weidel, the AfD's candidate for chancellorship in the 2025 election, also backed Trump. Weidel wrote on her X account: "A historic moment. Trump and Vance!" , accompanied by a photo of Zelensky and Trump with a link to an article in the German newspaper "Welt" about the altercation at the White House.
German Alternative for Germany (AfD) member of parliament Martin Reichhardt also expressed support for the US president, with the MP writing on his X account: "Trump is a giant! While traditional German governments continue to give up the last shirt in favor of brazen beggars, which they have previously snatched from workers, retirees and the poor, in the United States such people are directed to where they belong! To the door! Zelensky".
Musk calls for verification of military aid to Ukraine
The head of the U.S. government's efficiency improvement, Elon Musk, has called for a mandatory verification of the allocation of military aid to Ukraine, following the Trump-Zelensky altercation at the White House.
Musk said on his X account: "It's time to find out what really happened to the hundreds of billions of dollars that were transferred to Ukraine."
Commenting on a post by a user of the platform that suggested that DOGE review Washington's aid to Ukraine, Musk said: "That would be interesting."
Earlier, US President Donald Trump indicated that the Ukrainian leadership could not report on half of the aid provided by the United States, and said that Vladimir Zelensky "stated that he does not know where half of the money disappeared."
