Afrasianet - The number of victims of the terrorist bombing in Damascus on Sunday rose to 20, the Syrian news agency SANA reported on Sunday.
Earlier on Sunday, a Syrian medical source told the Russian "Novosti" that the car bomb explosion in a residential neighborhood of Damascus, out of three car bombs driven by suicide bombers, killing 13 people and wounding at least 29 others.
At least seven people were killed and 13 others injured in the clashes, with 18 people killed and 53 injured.
The Syrian state television said: "Accused the competent authorities 3 car bombs and managed to detonate two of them at the entrance to Damascus at the airport complex, and besieged the third in Tahrir Square, a terrorist blew himself up, resulting in the ascension of martyrs and a number of wounded.
Security forces prevented "terrorists from reaching their targets," the television said, adding that they were targeting the busy areas on the first working day after the Eid holiday.
Footage from Syrian television on one of the bomb sites showed what appeared to be human remains and serious damage outside a mosque near the veterinary circle near Damascus's old neighborhoods.
It is noteworthy that the Syrian capital was attacked, in mid-March last, as the conflict entered the country in its seventh year, two suicide bombings, which killed 32 people, and no one claimed responsibility for them. This came days after two bloody bombings that killed 74 people in one of the old neighborhoods of Damascus and adopted by the Sham Liberation Organization (Nasra previously).
