Afrasianet - Dr. Mazen Al-Najjar - The Israeli genocidal war on Gaza has left a severe impact on the Zionist entity itself and the prospects for its continuation.
His existential crisis has been expressed by writers, generals, journalists, and politicians, both Israeli and Western, who have dealt with many aspects of the entity's crisis, all of which are difficult to enumerate.
Some of them are related to a very long and unprecedented war in the history of the entity, which led to economic exhaustion, high costs, and the disruption of production necessary to support the war effort, due to the summoning of hundreds of thousands of reserve personnel and formations, which prompted companies to close and emigrate, accumulate debts and issue the entity's bonds locally and internationally.
Some of them dealt with the lack of military objectives and strategy in a long absurd war that depleted the working forces and the reserve forces, and the General Staff was forced to extend the service of the reserve forces several times, which depleted the military capability of the entity, beyond all previous wars, which turns Netanyahu's claims of changing the maps of the region, occupation, expansion, and uprooting, into absurdity.
Marginalization of the Sacred Cow
The matter is exacerbated by a severe dispute and the exchange of accusations, shouting and discord that came out early between a political leadership with no destination, and a military and security leadership involved in war crimes, genocide, starvation and mass destruction, and the collapse of trust between the two leaderships, and the campaign of the Prime Minister and his allies, who advocate genocide and detention and uprooting camps, against the army ( the sacred cow of Israel), and its leadership, humiliation, accusation of helplessness and failure, and blaming it alone for all the manifestations of failure since the outbreak of the Al-Aqsa Flood.
The crisis is exacerbated by the isolation and marginalization of the military leadership from the political decision-making circle, especially after the conclusion of Operation Gideon Carts, which resulted in nothing but destruction, extermination and starvation, and suffered heavy losses.
Hundreds of experts and former military and security leaders who represent the Zionist strategic mind are increasingly discontented, confirming the loss of consensus on security matters and the fate of the Zionist settlement project.
This coincides with the vertical division of Zionist society between secular (symbolized by the biblical Kingdom of Israel) and religious (the Kingdom of Judah), as occurred after the division of the Kingdom of David and Solomon.
Things got worse and hatred spread between them after Netanyahu and his allies turned against the Supreme Court and overturned its powers to monitor the government, which provoked secular Jews in the entity and the West.
The religious and political division has doubled after the Al-Aqsa flood and the outbreak of widespread protests in Tel Aviv and cities against the Netanyahu government's disregard for the entity's prisoners, and demonstrators are subjected to daily violence by right-wing supporters and the police, arrested and dragged through the streets, as the protesters are predominantly secular in opposition to the religious and nationalist right and its ruling coalition.
The Occupation of Gaza: No Consensus and No Professional Approval!
Veteran Israeli journalist and editor of Maariv, Ben Caspit, says that "since its founding, Israel has been waging wars and taking dangerous and controversial strategic steps, but only after meeting two conditions: the first is a broad (national) consensus, and the second is the approval of the professional leadership of senior experts and security officials.
In extreme cases, one could not suffice. In the case of the "occupation of Gaza", neither was achieved. There is no consensus, no professional acknowledgment! And yet, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is playing this game that he bought for the Kahanis who took over his government. But the game was bought with 'our money,' and we may lose control of it, and it becomes a game of hell."
The campaign to starve the people of Gaza, which pushed more than two million people to a humanitarian catastrophe and famine that exceeded all levels, measures and stages of hunger approved by the United Nations and internationally, brought the Zionist entity to enter a new phase and even a major crisis with the imperialist world system that established the Zionist settler project itself, and pledged for a whole century to immunity from sanctions, political support and tools of extermination, and gave it the green light to commit war crimes, occupation, ethnic cleansing and mass murder in a way that surprised the leaders of the entity, deceiving them and implicating them in the evils of their actions.
One of the most prominent developments of the past two years is the exposure of the Zionist narrative to the world, the fall of its claims, preambles and legends in front of Western public opinion in particular, and the emergence of the real story or the historical crime of the establishment of the Zionist project and the Nakba of Palestine on the ruins of its people with iron, fire, uprooting and dozens of massacres, to replace a people with a people, history for history, and culture for culture, each of which is genocide in itself.
It's not a war. It's a bloody farce.
For his part, Yoav Ben-Eliahu, a security and strategic analyst, delivered a shocking speech from the International Press Club in the heart of Tel Aviv, on the 663rd day of the genocide in Gaza, in front of Israeli and international journalists, which was broadcast live on several channels:
"Gentlemen, 663 days of bombardment, 663 days of death and destruction, of deception and deception, of raising false slogans: 'We will wipe out Hamas,' 'We will restore deterrence,' 'We will retrieve our hostages,' Today, we stand before the mirror of truth, completely naked of any achievement. Israel has not won. Israel has sunk into a quagmire that it has created with its own hands.
All we have done in 663 days is to turn the Gaza Strip into ruins, but we have only destroyed Israel's moral and military image. Where is the deterrence? Where is the achievement? Where are the hostages? Where is the plan? Nothing.
Netanyahu! This is not your leadership. This is your crime. The prime minister used the blood of soldiers, hostages and victims on both sides as an election card. He entered the war aimlessly, and he does not know how to get out of it. The result? more than 4,000 soldiers killed, internal economic and security paralysis, growing international isolation, and the image of Israel as an occupying state that has lost control.
An unprecedented intelligence failure. The war began with a security collapse on October 7, and it did not end because no one knows where the resistance begins and ends. Hamas and other factions are fighting from endless tunnels, with a decentralized system, and with an ideology that we do not have the tools to understand. We are fighting ghosts with the mentality of the 1973 war.
The Palestinian resistance is not just a militia, it is a new model of war. It is flexible: it strikes and returns. It loses leaders and reorganizes. It enjoys a full popular incubator despite the humanitarian catastrophe. It excels us in the media and psychological warfare. It fights with a spirit that we do not have: because they are not afraid of death, and we fear it.
We killed tens of thousands of people, including thousands of children, and we did not break their resolve. We demolished their homes, only to see their resisters come back from under the rubble. We relied on our planes, and we lost control of the ground. We ignored world public opinion, and we lost the hearts of even our closest allies.
Gentlemen, a war cannot be won against a people who are fighting for their existence, while we are fighting for an image on Channel 12. Time is not working on our side. Hostages will not return with bombs. Deterrence will not be restored by massacres.
And the final message: If this war does not stop now, the next loss will not be in Gaza.. but in Tel Aviv itself. If we do not break the arrogance of this government, the resistance will break our structure from within. Thank you... Let history bear witness that some of us spoke the truth, before it was completely shattered in the silence of the majority." End quote.
The Road to Forever War
Haaretz quoted military analyst Amos Harel as saying that Netanyahu's plan to occupy the Gaza Strip puts Israel on a (safe) path to an eternal war.
Yedioth Ahronoth military analyst Avi Issacharov said: "The war in Gaza will certainly be taught in military schools and colleges, under the title 'This is not how to decide a war.' "The Israeli government's abject failure to translate tactical military success into strategic political achievements is a grave mistake that is no less, if not greater, than the failure of October 7, at least we were surprised at the time. But in the conduct of war? Everything was clear and known."
According to a report by Olean Shishi on N12 channel, the head of the National Security Council, Tzachi Hanegbi, joined the position of Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir in the cabinet discussion, and opposed the prime minister's plan to occupy Gaza, and the head of the Mossad expressed his reservations about this step, and called for the continuation of negotiations on the hostage deal. During a break, a heated confrontation broke out between the Minister of Settlements, Orit Struck, and the Coordinator of Prisoners and Missing Persons' Affairs, Gal Hirsch.
Hanegbi said at the Cabinet meeting: "I am not ready to give up on rescuing hostages. I don't understand how anyone who has seen the videos of the hungry prisoners Evitar [David] and Rum [Braslavsky], and everything that came before them, can support the "all or nothing" statement.
This means giving up the chance to rescue at least 10 hostages immediately, because Hamas will not abide by this. Hanegbi added, "The ceasefire will allow us to try to reach an agreement on the remaining 10. I fully agree with the chief of staff that taking control of Gaza City endangers the lives of hostages, so I oppose the prime minister's proposal."
Smotrich: If we don't move towards a full-fledged occupation and if we do it just to get an agreement, it's not going to work. If that's the case, then the chief of staff's plan is really the best.
Ben-Gvir: We must not stop halfway. The message that Hamas is constantly receiving is that the ball is in its hands. We must go all the way to the end.
Chief of Staff: The lives of the hostages will be in danger if we embark on a plan to occupy Gaza. We have no guarantees that they will not be harmed in such a situation. If that is what you are seeking, I suggest that you take the return of the hostages out of the objectives of the war.
Ben-Gvir: We want a decision. There are constant briefings from military officials. You are affiliated with the political level. Learn from the police how to comply with the decisions of the political level.
Smotrich: We must not stop halfway. If we seek an interim agreement, it will be defeat.
Consequences and existential threats
The leadership of the Zionist project escaped the control of the traditional secular Zionist establishment, (rationality) by the scales of imperialism and the standards of the imperial Western center, and both the project and the entity became under the control of a national-religious minority ruled by the imaginary occultism of settlement, the myths of genocide in the Old Testament, the myths of the epics of the Israelites, the racist pagan laws of the Talmud, and the teachings of the pagan god of violence, Yahweh.
The very serious consequences of this threaten the very existence and continuity of the Zionist entity itself. This is the natural development of imperialist settlement projects based on racial violence, fascism and extermination.
This minority hijacked the Zionist entity, blackmailed Netanyahu and the secular right, exploited his self-centeredness, narcissism, and fear of imprisonment as a result of his corruption, taking him hostage along with the entire Zionist entity, and confiscating the so-called Jewish democracy, the democracy of the pirate ship, and practically becoming the sole decision of the entity, and may cut the umbilical cord that connects it to the global imperialist system.
This was evident in the isolation imposed on the entity, the turn of the Western street public against it, and the perception of it as a fascist entity based on genocide and racism.
The most dangerous thing is the disintegration of the (social) contract, or rather the settlements, between the Zionist entity and its settlers, claiming that it is the shelter and fortress of the Jews of the world, by leaving the Israeli prisoners to face their fate in the depths of the Gaza tunnels, and they have become skeletons and carcasses waiting to die!
Days after the October 7 incident, an exclusive-documentary film was shown to Knesset members, and some of them fainted in shock, but in a rare moment, after witnessing the nihilistic violence inflicted by the Israeli war machine on the "hostages" of the settlers in the Gaza envelope, Yair Lapid, the leader of the opposition in the Knesset, who was not known for his wisdom, said: "Israel is not a moral state, it is not a regional power, and it will not win the war!"
When Netanyahu announced his true intentions, and his intention to change the maps of the region with wars, Lapid said, "Netanyahu will fight everyone and defeat everyone in the Middle East, including Israel."
The moment of Israeli annihilation, in the words of Abdel Wahab al-Messiri, seems to be an ideal "paradigm moment" to understand the process and crises of settlement projects, and represents the only settlement path towards a final solution to the crisis of the Zionist project: the Palestinian existence, resistance, and the sterility of using genocide against an inexterminable right! .
