Fethullah Gülen: Will it be the spare card of the United States to cause chaos against Turkey?

Afrasianet - One evening, the news of the decline of the Turkish currency against the US dollar came out. Many people see the reason behind the crisis as the detention of the American pastor in Turkey after the Turkish government revealed the pastor's relationship with the Gulen group. But it's bigger and bigger than that. America has been studying Turkey politically and economically for a long time, especially after the ruling party – the Justice and Development Party – came to power, which also brought Turkey to progress that no one expected and only in fifteen years.

Washington's decision not to extradite Gülen to Ankara and arm the Kurds, which destabilizes Turkish security, was a clear message from Washington to Ankara that shows the extent to which America is not ready to be an ally of Turkey, but as usual, Washington seeks its own interests only.

The Turkish authorities describe Fethullah Gulen's organization, which has lived in the United States since 1998, as a "parallel entity" and accuse it of infiltrating the state apparatus, especially the police, judiciary, and army, and being behind the failed coup attempt.

The conditions of the United States of America at the time were as follows

1- Ankara respects Washington's position on the issue of Jerusalem and accepts it as the capital of Israel.
2- Ankara should reverse the purchase of a missile system from Russia.
3- Turkey's abandonment of oil and natural gas fields on the island of Cyprus.
4- Turkey's commitment to the sanctions imposed on Iran by America.
5- Turkey should release the American pastor who was accused by the Turkish government of involvement in the coup attempt on July 15, 2016.
6- Turkey should not request the extradition of Fethullah Gülen from the United States.

Ankara's answer on these items was clear and informed the American side of its total rejection, and after this Ankara discussed its new alternative after a long time of American cunning and betrayal, which does not know the interest of the other other other than its own.

Washington's war on Turkey's economy came at a time when Turkey can easily emerge from it thanks to its strong economy and loyal friends in the region and in Europe,

because the fall of Turkey's economy now will not be in anyone's interest. Washington chose war on Turkey's economy at an inopportune time because Turkey is now stronger than its predecessor, as Ankara's friends today are Washington's biggest enemies, so they will not leave Turkey alone against America. The Wall Street Journal says Washington "may take tough measures against Turkey for supporting Moscow in bypassing sanctions."

Western", while Russian-Turkish cooperation is at unprecedented levels despite these sanctions.

The newspaper,  citing its sources, pointed to Washington's concern about the increase in trade between Turkey and Russia since the imposition of sanctions on the latter.

Washington does not hide its concern about Turkish policy, as it sometimes considers it directed against it, as it will not hesitate to use anything to punish Turkey, as is customary in dealing with its opponents, even if they are former allies, as happened more than once, for example, as happened in Vietnam, Panama, Iran and others, where America has no ally, but its interests are above all, even if all evil and immoral means are used.

Relations between Ankara and Washington have long gone through difficult periods, and although former President Donald Trump managed to establish good relations with Turkey, Congress failed to solve various problems that sour relations between the two sides.

He is the founder and leader of the  Gulen Movement, a religious movement with hundreds of schools in Turkey and  hundreds of schools outside Turkey, ranging from the Central Asian republics and Russia to Morocco and Kenya. Turkey classifies the group as a terrorist group and demands that the United States extradite Gulen, claiming he was behind the coup against Erdogan.

Robert Amsterdam, the international lawyer contracted with the Turkish government to investigate the activities of Fethullah Gulen's organization, says that "certain agencies (he did not name) in the US government are protecting (Gulen)," expressing great concern about whether Washington will take any concrete measures regarding the issue of his extradition to Ankara, and stressed, in an exclusive interview with "Arab Guest 21", that they have played "an important role in the United States, and some African countries, in attracting attention to that organization that She tried to hide herself."

Amsterdam, who has been investigating the group's activities around the world and the United States for six years, added that "there is a growing understanding in U.S. education circles and minority rights circles that the FETÖ is constantly seizing opportunities to take funds for minority children and use them to improve its own system."
Although Amsterdam noted that Gulen's organization has been significantly weakened  in Turkey and  in a number of African countries, he said that the organization "remains strong in the United States, because it relies on public funding to support more than 200 networks of independent schools, and it is still active in Africa, where it participates in financing and operating not only the school system, but also the arms export system."

It is noteworthy that the Turkish government had commissioned, years ago, "Amsterdam & Co." (LP) to investigate the activities of the parallel entity organization and its leader, "Gulen", who has been residing in the US state of Pennsylvania since 1999.

Indeed, there is a secret organization whose nature of activity is difficult to clearly define after the July 15, 2016 coup attempt; there is a problem between Turkey and the United States, America protects Gulen; Turkey has provided the U.S. government with a huge amount of information, while the U.S. government has done nothing so far regarding any form of extradition of leader Fethullah Gulen. Turkey is a key player in the Middle East now in a way that it was not just five years ago. This is without mentioning Turkey's energy diplomacy and the all-important new gas pipeline that is likely to contribute to Turkey's ability to produce 30% or more of its natural gas. Turkey is a crucial historical player in the region.

No one believes the United States has a great deal of credibility on these issues either in the Middle East or elsewhere.

What happened on July 15 changed a lot of things.

There are those who used to seek to form an "anti-Erdogan front" inside Turkey, but the scope for achieving this is now very narrow.

The state is also in the process of filtering the impurities stuck in its apparatus, as well as rebuilding and restructuring its apparatus in order to increase their effectiveness and improve their performance.

Why are they upset about it? Because Turkey has begun to move according to what it wants, according to its interests. They don't want Turkey to have any influence in the world order, they want it to be subservient to it. This is how the West wants.

But it must be noted that the West is led by America, not the European Union, as the latter moves according to the winds coming to it from the United States of America. Because if Europe were acting alone, it would have realized that a coup in Turkey would probably mean the end of the EU. But Europe's political mind has long since been disqualified.

The American political mind acts by exerting pressure on the media, and as a result of these pressures, the American media replaces all the basic rules of journalism and publishes false news about Turkey. The US administration portrays it as a "dispute between two parties over governance" in Turkey. It is trying to form a public opinion that things are heading towards civil war.

The Americans also describe what the state is doing now against Fethullah Gulen's organization, saying that "Erdogan seeks to eliminate his opponents." What is the reason for these behaviors? And what makes America continue to stand behind the Gulenist organization? And why are they covering up the dirty work of the FETÖ?

All this is understood to mean that America is determined to continue using the FETÖ to carry out its operations in Turkey. The second reason is that they still believe in the importance of the FETÖ to serve the world's intelligence networks.

Another reason is that they fear that many details will be revealed during the process of eliminating the FETÖ in Turkey, and therefore they are afraid of revealing their involvement, direct ties and crimes committed using this organization.

Gülen believes that "his expiration date has not yet come," and he knows that he is the best tool for America to use to stir up unrest with Turkey: in fact, we will see the continued use of this card by America.
