Afrasianet - Ahmed Oweidat - The political history of relations between the entity state and the United States has not entrusted support but actual partnership, as is the case during the first and current presidents of President Trump in all military, political, diplomatic and logistical fields. Political history has also not known a "country" of this level as an ally of the United States as it is Israel, as if it is the first state among the 51 American states in care, attention, protection and partnership.
It is as if the Israelis are "Trump's chosen people", as he preferred them over his American compatriots, and all abilities have become America and its capabilities, men, politicians, and diplomats are at the command of the leaders of the entity, as the facts indicate every day and every hour. Attempts are first made to save the "Trump plan" to end the war in Gaza from collapse, after an endless series of Israeli violations, provocations, and aggressions against Gazans, throughout the Strip, under flimsy pretexts and arguments that the Trump administration has persuaded.
But this time through the Security Council, the United States is trying to obtain a UN mandate by forming a multinational international stabilization force with international legitimacy to govern Gaza for at least two years, under the leadership of the so-called "Peace Council," chaired by President Trump and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, which is in essence the guardianship authority and de facto ruler of the Gaza Strip.
It is noteworthy that this step is reminiscent of what the United States tried to do before the invasion of Iraq, by granting international legitimacy to its movement, which was rejected by the Security Council at the time, to reveal the truth of what it was hiding against Iraq, when it launched the war with the coalition it established without international cover, where the Iraqi army and Iraq's capabilities were destroyed, and sectarian and sectarian discord was sown to this day.
Trump's project aims to disarm the resistance with all its factions, and destroy the tunnels, the artery of the resistance and the pillar of its steadfastness, to deprive the Palestinian people of their right to resist the occupier.
According to what was leaked about this project, this force is supposed to be an enforcement force, not a peacekeeping force, as is the case with UNIFIL in Lebanon, that is, its mission is not limited to maintaining security and protecting civilians, securing the borders of Egypt and Israel, ensuring the security of humanitarian crossings and corridors, but also disarming the resistance, and this is Netanyahu's main concern, as stated by his declared war goals, and as an Israeli official told CNN, "Israel participated It even intervened in the formation of the strength of this force, and refused the participation of some countries, such as Turkey, as pointed out by the entity's representative to the United Nations, which prompts the following question: Is this an Israeli or an American project? Or is he an American spokesperson for Israel?
The draft also acknowledges the existence of cooperation between the Israeli army and the International Disarmament Force in Gaza, which means that there is cooperation between the entity and the countries participating in the force in disarming the resistance, without the need to put this under the seventh item, to avoid exposure to "Israel" in the event of its non-compliance with the decisions and instructions of the international force.
On the other hand, as reported by Axios, the Arab and Islamic countries participating in this force stipulate that force should not be used against the Palestinians in the disarmament process, and that this should be under the umbrella of the United Nations and its terms of reference should be the Security Council, not the Peace Council, and that this project should not be limited to the situation in Gaza, but would go beyond that to resolve the Palestinian issue in accordance with the two-state solution.
Without having to bear the burden of doing so militarily and exposing them to the loss of their soldiers in the event of their failure. Here we recall what Netanyahu used to repeat: "If diplomatic efforts to disarm Hamas fail, he will take care of it by military means."
It is feared that Israel and the United States will deliberately implicate the Islamic and Arab countries participating in this force in fighting against the Palestinians, under the seventh item. Despite all the negative points of the bill, which are not in the interest of the PA and the resistance in Gaza, the bill, if approved, will force the Israeli army to withdraw from the lines and buffer zones, which were stipulated in the first phase of Trump's crumbling plan. What worries Israel more is the post-two-year period, that is, after the end of the work of this international force and the Peace Council, will things in the Gaza Strip go to the Palestinian Authority, the resistance, or the government of technocrats?
This is what neither the United States trusts nor Israel sees as a security and safety factor for its settlements, but rather sees it as a return to resistance again, which many Israeli leaders have warned about, as Meir Ben-Shabbat, the former head of Israel's National Security, says: "The issues of disarming Hamas and making Gaza a demilitarized zone are the first two conditions for reshaping life in Gaza, before any other conditions."
The question arises: Will the American project be approved in the Security Council, according to the Israeli interpretation? What is the position of the other countries that have always supported the two-state solution, such as Russia, China, France and Britain?
Is there an Arab-Islamic position against this project, in the event that Trump insists on what is stated in his unfair clauses in favor of Israel? On the face of it, this project seeks to undermine Israel's movement and role in a way that is contrary to American interests, Trump's vision of the geopolitical situation, and an attempt to return Israel to the international community after its widespread isolation, thwart the attempts of countries calling for a two-state solution and the establishment of a Palestinian state, and ensure Israel's security by expanding the normalization process and the Abraham Accords to include the ocean as well as Trump's portrayal of himself as a supporter and sponsor of peace in the face of the threat of legal accountability by the International Court of Justice for his support of the perpetrators of genocide and ethnic cleansing, especially since there are press and legal voices in the United States to implement the Leahy Act, which prohibits the provision of weapons to any party that violates human rights, which will constitute a strong pressure factor on the administration in its dealings with Israel.
In the same context, in a statement criticizing the positions of the Trump administration, in addition to what a group of American writers, journalists, and lawyers have expressed, Richard Falk, the former United Nations special rapporteur on human rights violations in the occupied Palestinian territories, said: "The continued diplomatic and military support for Israel amounts to collusion for which international law must be held accountable."
In essence, this project aims to disarm the resistance in all its factions, and to destroy the tunnels, which have become known as the artery of the resistance and the backbone of its steadfastness, in order to deprive the Palestinian people of their right to resist the occupier, a right guaranteed by international laws, international humanitarian law, and the UN Charter in Article 51, which means the consolidation of the occupation, and then the establishment of a governing body under the American tutelage that guarantees the interests of the Trump administration by establishing the "Eastern Riviera" and the "New Gaza", and identifies with the interests of the entity.
