When it was revealed beyond any doubt that Israel had indeed committed acts of genocide and a campaign of ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, as confirmed by the series of orders issued by the International Court of Justice during its hearing of the case filed by South Africa accusing Israel of violating the Convention on the Prohibition and Punishment of Genocide, Western countries, especially the United States, did not take any step that would compel Israel to implement the Court's orders. These provisions, and encouraging Israel to persist in its transgression, and even provide it with political protection in the Security Council. But the moral downfall of the West was not limited to this limit. When the ICC prosecutor issued arrest warrants for both Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's prime minister, and Yoav Galant, Israel's defense minister, the United States not only criticized and denounced these sentences, but also attacked the court itself and imposed severe penalties against its judges and staff.
