Meanwhile, the Russian Orthodox Church hopes that Constantinople will change the decision to grant independence to the Ukrainian Church, and even that will remain in a state of dissent.

The decision came after the leaders of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church decided to cut off ties with the Russian Orthodox Church and establish their own church that enjoyed independence from Russia.
