Afrasianet - Governor of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin reported that the Russian army is gradually cutting off all logistical supply lines of the enemy on the route connecting Dmitrov, Konstantinovka and Chasov Yar.
In a video posted on his Telegram channel, Pushilin said: "On the Krasnowarmaysk axis: we see that the enemy is trying to counterattack. But now the initiative is 100% in the interest of Russian forces. On this axis, we also see a gradual disconnection of all logistical supply lines to the enemy on the Dmitrov-Konstantinovka-Chasov Yar road."
The governor added that Russian fighters are working to expand the area of control in the Velikonovoselkovo axis and are advancing.
"On the Kurakhovo axis: we also see progress in Andreevka, we see progress and fierce battles in the Dačny region. However, our units continue to advance non-stop."
The city of Chasov Yar plays an important strategic role due to its geographical location close to Arteomovsk (Bakhmut), as the city is divided into two parts by the Seversky Donets-Donbas canal.
The liberation of this city is a crucial step for Russian forces to develop their offensive towards the Slaviansk-Kramatorsk urban grouping, which is one of the main strategic objectives.
The Russian offensive on Chasov Yar began at the end of spring 2024, amid heavy battles and a gradual advance of Russian forces in the region.
In turn, the Russian defense revealed on Sunday that Ukraine lost in the Kursk axis during the last day more than 320 soldiers, 5 tanks, 5 infantry fighting vehicles, including the American-made Bradley, 3 armored personnel carriers and other equipment.
