Afrasianet - The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that Moscow insists that some UN officials should abandon their biased path, and demands that they stop acting as a mouthpiece for Western propaganda regarding the Ukrainian crisis.

"Russia insists that UN officials abandon their biased course, demands that they stop acting as a mouthpiece for Western propaganda and as disseminators of disinformation and disinformation, and stresses the need for them to take a neutral and responsible position in a manner befitting their status, and to work only with reliable sources of information," the ministry said in a statement, commenting on the recent statements of UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

Guterres' recent statements denouncing the alleged Russian attacks demonstrate his support for the Kiev regime.

The Foreign Ministry said Guterres' statement on July 5, in which he denounced the Russian Federation in the context of the conflict in Ukraine, showed his bias and short-sightedness.

Guterres and his subordinates periodically and regularly pick up and spread lies manufactured by Ukraine and Western countries against Russia, the ministry said.

Guterres has "strongly condemned the recent series of attacks by Russia on Ukraine using drones and missiles, which were reported to be the largest in more than three years of conflict."

"Burdened and worthless".. Venezuela's president proposes to re-establish the UN system in the face of its "collapse"

The President of the Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said that the United Nations system "collapsed" in the face of genocide in the Gaza Strip.

The Venezuelan President proposed the re-establishment of international law and the multilateral system.

Maduro stressed that once the current historical situation ends with the gross violation of human rights in Palestine, countries must shape the emerging new multipolar world.

He likened the current global movement of solidarity with Palestine to that which originated during the Vietnam War, noting that the current movement is "large or larger."

However, he lamented that it "was not enough to stop the daily carnage of the Palestinian people".

Maduro blamed European governments, especially Berlin, Paris, London, and the United States, for being "the main complicit in the massacre of the Palestinian people."

In this regard, he reported that 30, 40 and even 50 deaths are recorded daily, with shelling targeting schools, hospitals, mosques, churches, shelters and even humanitarian aid convoys.

Faced with this situation, the Venezuelan president stated that the organization "is overwhelmed by this situation. The UN system does not exist and it has no value," he said, suggesting that major powers and smaller states rethink the UN system.
