When politics intersects with human values: Zionist entity boycotts farewell to Pope Francis

Afrasianet - Dr Essam Al , Kasasbeh - In  a scene that reveals the magnitude of the moral and political schizophrenia suffered by the Zionist entity, media outlets and diplomatic reports quoted a directive issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tel Aviv to its diplomatic missions, stating that the duty of condolences should not be officially offered on the death of Pope Francis, if he passed away, due to his "biased" positions, as they described, on the massacres committed in the Gaza Strip.

This Zionist position is not surprising to those who have followed the aggressive policy of this entity for decades, but it constitutes a unique diplomatic precedent that reveals the extent of its narrow chest towards any moral position that sympathizes with the Palestinian victims, even if it comes from the head of the Catholic Church, one of the most symbolic voices on the world stage, who only demanded respect for international law and an end to the suffering of innocent people.

Since the beginning of the recent aggression on Gaza, Pope Francis has been distinguished by bold humanitarian positions, calling for a ceasefire and expressing his deep sadness at the massacres committed against civilians, including children and women. He refused to succumb to political pressure exerted by influential powers within Europe and America to muzzle voices in support of Palestinian rights.

The Zionist entity's failure to perform the duty of condolence can only be understood as an attempt to punish the Pope for his frankness and to send a message of intimidation to anyone who is tempted to take a humanitarian stand against the war machine that does not distinguish between a civilian and a resistance.

In fact, this behavior shows a state of moral and political bankruptcy, as even humanitarian principles, which are supposed to be outside the circle of conflicts, are subject to barter in the lexicon of Zionist diplomacy. It is a failed trade-off, because history is merciless, and because the Pope, with his wisdom and honesty, has written his name in the register of living consciences, while others write their names in humanitarian indictments.

Perhaps this scene raises an even bigger question: to what extent will the world continue to overlook this Zionist superiority over every diplomatic custom, every moral value, and every human call?
