Afrasianet - Thousands  of Syrians mourned the martyrs of the city of Nawa, in the southern countryside of Daraa, who rose during clashes with the Israeli occupation and its bombardment of them, chanting: "With soul, with blood, we redeem you, O Al-Aqsa."

During the funeral, mourners carried pictures of martyrs and national flags, and chanted slogans condemning the Israeli occupation and its brutal practices against peaceful citizens, stressing the continuation of the march of struggle until the liberation of every inch of Syrian territory . Could these clashes be a prelude to the formation of a broad front of resistance in Syria?

The area witnessed a great popular mobilization and calls to confront the occupation west of Daraa, in light of the advance of the occupation forces for the first time to this depth of Syrian territory, which resulted in clashes between local resistance fighters and the Israeli occupation army forces, amid media reports about the downing of an occupation drone.

The organizations that used to be classified as terrorists now rule Syria with the support of the same people who labeled them terrorists.

They are the same organizations that Israel sponsored with weapons and support. Its wounded are treated in Israeli hospitals and are provided with some weapons, including marches and money as well, so what has changed?

Israel remains unconvinced that the new Syrian regime will be obedient unless it strips it of all the factors that help it rebel and exercise the role that the former regime played.

Over the years of the Syrian civil war, Israeli aircraft have not stopped raiding military sites inside Syrian territory. Once claiming that Iran is using these sites as stores for its weapons used in Syria or on their way to Lebanon, and another because these sites represent gatherings of Hezbollah and Iraqi and Afghan militias, and a third time because Israel feels that Syria has no right to seek to develop its scientific reality, which is indicated by the insistence on striking the Scientific Research Center north of Damascus. Time and time again, as if a nuclear reactor was close to making an atomic bomb.

Everything has changed on the ground in Syria, the old equations have been overturned and traditional standards have been broken, and Assad no longer rules Syria, Iran is on Syrian soil, and Hezbollah is no longer there, but Israel has not stopped its aircraft attacks on Syrian territory, airports, camps, research centers and weapons depots. What is worse is that the Israeli forces have expanded their expansion inside Syrian territory, perhaps as an expression of their desire to participate with the Syrian people. Abu Muhammad al-Julani turned into Ahmed al-Shara' and moved from the cage of terror to the Syrian presidential palace as the victorious successor to the defeated predecessor. The difference between the two is that the victor no longer cares about what Israel does, not because he feels embarrassed, but because he knows very well that Israel, which if it did not agree to him, would not have been president of the Syrians, does what it deems appropriate for it and that he does not have the will to prevent it.

Perhaps Syria's new rulers no longer care about anything but weapons that enable them to impose their authority on the Syrian people, a weapon that Israel will not think of destroying because it serves to transform Syria into an obedient country .

It is not correct to say that Israel had turned into a crazy bull after it happened on the seventh of October 2023. This is true at the level of its resort to the extermination of the people of Gaza, as they are the popular incubator and source of human funding for Hamas. However, the attempt  to destroy Hezbollah and end the Iranian presence in Lebanon and then in Syria is being carried out in a rational manner dominated by deals with overlapping interests.

Neither the United States nor Israel were the only ones behind Assad's deportation from Damascus, his transfer to Moscow, and then the opening of Damascus to the hands of HTS multilingual fighters.

Israel seems not convinced that the new Syrian regime will be obedient unless it strips it of all the factors that help it rebel and play the role of the former regime. The other Syria will be a school of subservience and obedience. In other words, the old school of resistance and resistance will not be allowed to be restored, even if by way of lying, fraud and blackmail. Syria today is taking the blows not to smooth its positions, as these positions are worthless, but to end any future of thinking. With an independent and free national will. Or is the  illusion of ruling Syria now derives its strength from trying to appease Israel and play the role of a meek lamb who will not even think about restoring the appropriate time and place of response?

The massacres that have taken place and continue to occur from the arms of the new rulers serve Israel and mark a very dangerous phase for that .

Israel no longer has in its interim agenda anything but to make Syria a demilitarized state. Syria's new rulers are only interested in weapons that enable them to impose their authority on the Syrian people, a weapon that Israel will not consider destroying because it serves to transform Syria into an obedient country.  Will you succeed in that? Or is Syria, with its people, who have been trained in the struggle against the colonizers and occupiers, able to regain the initiative? Will the clashes of Daraa with the occupation army be a prelude to the start of the struggle for Syria's return to its national role? Can the new rulers allow this?
