Terrorism ... mercenaries: two sides of the same coin

Afrasiant - The issue of solving terrorism is the main concern of many countries, especially those that have been directly or indirectly affected by it. However, another issue cannot be ignored and it is also linked to terrorism, whether explained otherwise or ignored its association with this perpetrator.

It is the use of mercenaries, especially by states and governments.

To begin with, a mercenary can be defined as someone who sells his loyalty and weapons to someone who pays more and fights for money without belief and without faith, and you find him fighting today with one side and with the other party tomorrow because he paid more for him.

His hand is released in plundering, plundering, destroying, and rape ... and the solutions of the mercenary hordes are like the solutions of the swarms of locusts that do not remain and are not scattered and leave nothing but ruin and pale.

He mentioned mercenaries from long times and in different civilizations, so Ramses II used them in ancient Egypt, and they were used in ancient Greece, Rome, and in many other civilizations.

Among the reasons also is the inability of the human capabilities of the state to cover the aspirations of the rulers in mobilizing the required forces, so they cover the deficit with mercenaries.

The Ottoman state at its inception gives an example of this, documents indicate that the army of Mehmed the Conqueror that conquered Constantinople was a third of it mercenaries, and although he was raising the banner of Islam in his war with Christianity, most of these mercenaries were from Christian European countries, which confirms that the mercenaries are their Lord and their God. Gold far from belief or religion.

With the beginning of the twentieth century, a new justification emerged for the use of mercenaries, which is the state’s desire to conceal its interference to hide its ambitions and avoid embarrassment on the international scene.

The United States was a pioneer in this regard, using what became known as the Banana Men, who were mercenaries who were used to subjugate the Central American republics on behalf of the United Fruit Company.

And the United States' activity in the field of mercenaries continued, so it sent them to South American countries, especially Colombia and Chile, and they had a major role in the failed Bay of Pigs adventure.

Mercenary markets prevailed during the Cold War and they were extensively used in proxy wars. One of the most prominent features of the US involvement in the use of mercenaries was the issue of the Soldier of Fortune magazine issued by Colonel Robert Brown, a veteran of the Vietnam War in Colorado, which was publishing ads asking for the services of mercenaries. French, British and American intelligence services were active in contracting mercenaries to suppress national liberation movements.

The mercenaries played a major role in the unrest that prevailed in the Congo after its independence from Belgium and the secession of the Katanga region, headed by "Moise Chombe" at the behest of Belgium and with the encouragement of the CIA and the British intelligence service MI6 for fear that Lumumba's leftist supporters would take control of the very diamond-rich region that contains the Shinkolobwe mine.

It is the largest uranium mine in the world. And the mercenaries reached from the rudeness of the mercenaries that they surrounded the United Nations forces during the month of September 1961 in the famous Battle of Shodotville, then the mercenaries moved from the Congo to the separatist Biafra during the Nigerian Civil War and then to South Sudan and Rhodesia during the liberation war from the apartheid regime in South Africa and Namibia.

The British, American and Israeli intelligence services have allied and are still recruiting many mercenaries. On the same line, Turkey is moving in the same direction. In a new development in the context of the use of mercenaries, what were called security contractors, such as the American company Blackwater, which had a black record in Iraq, and others with whom it shared names.

If the mercenaries hide behind these names, then Turkey does not admonish it, and it is working openly to use mercenaries to achieve its ambitions and perhaps to achieve the ambitions of one man.

It is worth noting that the United Nations issued in 2001 the international agreement to prevent the use, financing and training of mercenaries, but who cares? Turkey has become a pioneer at the present time in this field, as the Turkish regime continues to adopt policies characterized by severe hostility against all neighboring countries, until it is facing a large front of those who are hostile to it because of its colonial policies and practices.

The phenomenon of foreign fighters affects the stability and security of the entire Middle East, where anarchy exists, and not only that, in many areas where mercenaries are active, such as the Caucasus region, for example, these matters undermine any peace settlement in the countries in which these fighters are deployed, such as Syria, Iraq, Libya, and Azerbaijan. .

It is necessary to confront this phenomenon that affects all countries of the world, not just the countries deployed in it, including the countries that finance terrorists. Wherever mercenaries are present, organizations smuggling weapons, people, and drug trafficking are active, and in the Libyan example, the greatest proof of that is. There are military militias that have spread in Libya and are led by organizations as if you were linked to Al Qaeda and have become legitimate now.

There are militia leaders in eastern Libya who are classified as terrorists, but they are participating in the government, and they have foreign elements who join them. What is new is the arrival of Syrian terrorists and militants, and of other nationalities, who have been recruited by Turkey and are still there.

Mercenaries and extremists in the Caucasus are two sides of the same coin When Russia sent its forces to Syria in October 2015, President Vladimir Putin said at the time: "We will go to Syria so that Syria does not come to Russia." Extremist groups in Syria into the Russian interior, but it seems that the scenario that the Russians feared for the past five years is at the gates with Turkey transferring terrorists and mercenaries from Syria, Libya and elsewhere to the Nagorno Karabakh region, which Armenia and Azerbaijan have been fighting over for decades, so how will it change the arrival of Mercenaries to the Caucasus from the equation of the Azerbaijani-Armenian conflict?

The arrival of terrorists in the South Caucasus region, which includes Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh, will certainly give life to the extremist elements that the countries of the Russian republics in the North Caucasus are struggling to eliminate. After Turkey re-transferred terrorists from northern Syria towards the southern Caucasus to fight in Nagorny Karabakh, all information confirms that Turkmen, Syrians and Caucasians are being transferred to the disputed region.

As well as the case with mercenaries in Syria documents that d. Muhammad Mujahid al-Zayyat, academic advisor to the Egyptian Center for Thought and Strategic Studies, says: Regarding Syria, for example, the matter has changed between 2011 and until today, over the past ten years things have changed regarding foreign fighters, because Syria has witnessed a growing phenomenon of terrorism, which began with military groups that were funded by some Countries, and according to the estimates of former Qatari Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassim in a recorded TV interview, confirming that they spent up to 2015 the amount of 168 billion dollars to finance the activities of terrorist groups, which he called the military operations to topple the regime in Syria and the regime did not topple, so what about after 2015.

In conclusion: the evil of mercenaries was not limited to a specific geography, but their evil extended to the breadth of the Arab world, driven by foreign hands like chess pieces on the board, sometimes they move to Iraq, then they move to Syria and from there to Yemen, then they expand to include their movement in the Caucasus and others.

Do you think why not provide support to these? Were they moving like this? To wreak havoc and light us wherever they go. Who are the mercenaries? Perhaps mercenaries are the second oldest profession in history, and perhaps they compete with the owners of the oldest profession for the first place in the lowest and lowest profession in history.
