Afrasianet - Dr. Zakaria Shahin - The man who wasn’t there

so that we do not give in to the authority of delirium… when the wound opens its doors...
And the dream is excluded with the collision of the seasons...
The sphericality of the earth, embodied in time and space…
And in every movement of the camps that formed despite the long distances…
Nature has woven its threads between the sea and the camp.. they are the refugee camps.

This novel follows the life of Hassan Al-Sarfandi, a Palestinian man who has lost his homeland and now struggles on two fronts: providing a dignified life for his family and confronting those responsible for his exile. Blending fiction with historical reality, the story spans from the mid-20th century through the siege of Beirut, exploring themes of identity, displacement, resistance, and the enduring human spirit.
