There will be no "absolute" Israeli victory, neither on the battlefield nor at the negotiating table

Afrasianet - Oraib Al Rantawi - The inability to win  an "absolute victory" on the ground is accompanied by another inability to win an "absolute victory" on the negotiating tables... This time, it seems that the Palestinian negotiator is not the permissive type.

The US president authorized the Netanyahu government to order "revenge" for the killing of an Israeli soldier in Rafah, and the army carried out dozens of air and artillery attacks, against targets that he claimed belonged to Hamas, and the Gazans confirmed that they were purely civilian... Perhaps Benjamin Netanyahu wanted to go beyond "revenge" to dismantle the agreement itself, but Donald Trump wanted the agreement that bears his name and signature to survive the Israeli military strikes, and for the two sides to return to complete its implementation, one stage after another.

In their leaks, the Americans said that Hamas did not commit a serious breach of the agreement, which requires an exaggerated reaction, which may lead to its collapse after a stagnation...  However, they did not hesitate to "keep up" with Netanyahu, and to "understand" his partisan and personal calculations of pressure, even if the price was destruction upon destruction in Gaza, and new names to be added to the lists of martyrs and wounded, which touched 300,000 Gazans since October 7, 2023.

The president, who promised to commit to the "balance of justice" in dealing with the parties to the agreement to end the war, proves once again that the balance of his "justice" is completely broken. He is concerned about the fate of a dozen Israeli corpses, and he did not say a word about the fate of more than 10,000 bodies of Palestinian martyrs that are still under the rubble.

It supports the introduction of heavy machinery, technical crews and experts to search for the remains of Israelis, and does not make a meaningful effort to pressure the Israelis to fulfill one of the clauses of its "initiative," which is related to allowing the entry of heavy machinery to remove rubble and open the streets, and to collect the bodies of Palestinians from under the rubble and rubble.

He rises up against the killing of a Zionist soldier, whom Hamas denied knowledge or responsibility for the operation, but he does not care about the killing and destruction inflicted by the "most moral army" in the world, in the heart of Gaza and its destroyed cities during the past hours. However, the leader of the greatest state seems indifferent to the balance of justice, which he has set himself up as a patron and resident of it.

Distemper of the world

In any case, the resistance is committed to the agreement and its implementation in its successive stages, and to fulfilling all its steps, and the one who refrains from doing so is the Israeli side, with accumulated testimonies from the United States, the United Nations, and the international community.

The resistance does not find any benefit from dealing with the "dishonest American mediator", who is the only one who can say yes and no to the neo-fascist government in Tel Aviv, and it is "the world's anguish for the resistance to see an enemy whose friendship is gone"...

The Resistance is aware of the vast commonalities between the enemy and the "mediator", but it exercises its right to play on the gaps and contradictions that separate them, no matter how small or large. As for the responsibility of stopping this excesses and encroachments on the agreement and its sponsors, who nationalized Sharm el-Sheikh, it is the responsibility of all of them, just as the Arab-Turkish "mediation trio" falls on the shoulders of the additional responsibility to restrain Israel and exert influence on the United States, and how not, who are the mediators, witnesses, and guarantors.

The agreement was found to be implemented, which is one of the prevailing assumptions in various political and diplomatic circles, as the force of the pressure it brought and the political and diplomatic momentum that led to it, are still enough to bring it into effect.

The agreement and the negotiations that came with it took place under fire, and it is likely that the stages of its implementation will continue, under a certain amount of pressure and fire as well, and in this Netanyahu and Trump agree and disagree, the former wants it to be a fire that will go to the agreement, especially after he has regained the living prisoners and most of the dead, while Trump, wants the fire to mature the preparations of the resistance to swallow what it refuses to consume these days, not to burn the agreement itself.

As we said in a previous article on Al-Mayadeen-Net, Gaza does not tolerate the "Lebanese scenario" or the "Lebanonization of Gaza," in the words of Palestinian journalists and writers, as the agreement will either be implemented and the war will end, including an end to the Israeli and permissibility, or the war machine will collapse and the war machine will do its work again, and Donald Trump will lose all his narrative about himself, as a champion of peace, a miracle worker, and a man who ended a conflict that lasted for three thousand years, and laid the foundations for a peace that will last forever.

Even those who call on Trump to rid the Gaza Strip of Hamas and to strip Hamas of its weapons and influence (some of them Arabs) are not proposing the continuation of the war, but rather the "arming" and "militarizing" of humanitarian aid and reconstruction, as a more dangerous and lighted weapon than tank shells and warplane missiles. This does not mean, of course, that such trends will end the chances of Israel launching strikes and carrying out surgeries from time to time, always under the banner of "neutralizing an existing or potential threat," but it will make Netanyahu's task more difficult.

We will not "never" win in negotiations either

One of the reasons for the hysterical state of tension that hangs over the "Cabinet" and characterizes the behavior of Netanyahu and his companions is to keep pace with the racist right-wing base of the ruling team, and to meet the Israeli street, whose ranks are raising the cries of war, after it was assured of the return of its prisoners alive.  However, this reason alone does not explain Israel's criminal behavior and the "flood" of violations and encroachments on the agreement in its various clauses and stages.

In my opinion, the most important reason for the formation of this situation is due to the failure of the Israeli ruling team to achieve an "absolute victory" on the ground, which Netanyahu promised the Israelis, instead of a thousand times, without succeeding in convincing them that "the mission is accomplished" on the ground, especially after Hamas returned to Gaza on the morning of the ceasefire, and after its civilian institutions resumed their tasks as usual, albeit to the extent of their available resources.

The inability to win an "absolute victory" on the ground is accompanied by another inability to win an "absolute victory" at the negotiating tables. This time, it seems that the Palestinian negotiator is not the kind of leniency that the Israeli negotiator is used to, and the ideas and proposals for post-war arrangements are arousing indignation among those who waged the two-year war on Gaza, its people and its resistance.

Netanyahu wanted absolute and permanent Israeli security control over the Gaza Strip, while the ideas and proposals that are being circulated and some of them leaked go in a different direction.  Netanyahu wanted a civilian government affiliated with Gaza the day after the war, without Hamas or Abbas, while the names of the Community Support Committee were made of another cloth, and the great tragedy reached its peak, with Trump's talk about the possibility of releasing the prisoner commander Marwan Barghouti, to play a role in this stage and the next, and this is a development that did not occur to the leaders of Tel Aviv, nor in their worst nightmares.

Netanyahu worked to sponsor puppet militias to manage the Gaza Strip and hold the land, only hours passed until all these militias were neutralized from the areas from which Israel withdrew, and it went so far as Donald Trump expressed his discomfort with Hamas's liquidation of criminal gangs... Today, Washington is leading efforts to form an international stabilization force, mainly Arab-Islamic, and to present the matter of its formation and mandate to the UN Security Council. Those who rejected internationalization yesterday find themselves after the "absolute victory", forced to accept the internationalization of a restaurant with "Arabization" and "Islamization"... In summary, the "absolute victory" that was insurmountable for them in the battlefields and confrontation seems today more intractable at the negotiating tables.

In the face of all these developments, Netanyahu feels that he has lost the reins of independent decision-making in Tel Aviv, and those who were said to be holding the White House's triggers have now reached a stage where Trump can tell him what to do and what not to do. Even in talking about Marwan Barghouti, Trump did not miss the opportunity to assert that the decision to release him, or keep him in his cell, is in his hands alone, and no one else's.

In such pressing and disappointing climates, Netanyahu is acting contrary to what he wanted and desired, as Gaza has not been condemned to him for a reasonable morsel, nor is the West Bank subject to formal annexation as he was threatened and threatened, nor has the Middle East been redrawn on its maps, while the story of ostracism and isolation that Israel is living  and is living is another story, which amounts to a strategic threat, and who lives is watching.
