Afrasianet - Shots have been fired near the Delaware home of US Vice-President Joe Biden, the Secret Service has confirmed.

The shots were fired on Saturday at about 20:25 on Saturday (01:25 GMT Sunday) from a public road in Greenville, outside a security perimeter. The vice-president was not at the property at the time.

One man has been arrested but it is not known if he was involved in the shooting.
