Afrasianet - Armed militants have killed two Egyptian judges and a prosecutor in North Sinai’s provincial capital El-Arish, just hours after a court in Cairo sentenced ousted president Mohamed Morsi to death.

The officials came under attack while being driven to a court hearing in El-Arish. The gunmen also killed a driver and wounded another prosecutor, the health ministry said.

It is unknown if the attack was somehow connected to Morsi’s trial. Police are now on high alert across the country.
